Maybe you haven’t heard, but Reclaiming Roots is going to play in the forest this weekend! This Saturday, June 18th from 9-12pm, we’ll be at Belgum Grove located south of Iowa City: 3261 500th Street, Hills, Iowa. Wear long sleeve shirts, pants, and bring gloves, as we help Johnson CountyHeritage Trustcontinue to reclaim this preserve. This is a new opportunity for Reclaiming Roots and the caretakers for the property will be directing us to the areas that need work.
Needless to say, Stan won’t be there early because there’s no good reason for him to be standing around! We’ll be eating Breadgarden donuts, and drinking freshly roasted coffee while we wait for him to arrive… also, drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the morning. Because of the challenges for food prep, we won’t be serving lunch like we usually do.
In the event of rain - Saturday morning we will update Facebook, Twitter – @reclaimingroots, and the website to let you know the status of the projecct.
Registration is limited to 25 people, so sign-up while there are spots! Hope to see you this weekend.
