We are pleased to announce that we have reached capacity for the event this weekend with Kirkwood Elementary’s School Garden! We currently have 62 people signed up and registration is now closed for the morning work.

In addition to the work we’ve committed to doing for the school and neighborhood, we would like to open a new registration for folks to help us wrap up the event. We typically end up having to stay a few hours afterwards just picking up after ourselves and tying up the loose ends, so it would be nice to have a crew help us. So this is what we’re looking for:

5 people to help Chris make and clean up lunch

10 people to help comb through the area doing miscellaneous wrap up duties

We’re asking these folks to be with us from 11:00a – 2:00p. So if you’re still wanting to help, but haven’t been able to sign up yet, please consider this shift and help us make this a great event.

In addition to the new shift we’re also in need of additional tools. Here’s what you can bring (Please mark your tools with your name):

Wood Sanders

Wire Cutters

Details on Food… We’ll be having coffee and pastries in the morning, and we’ll be grilling out for lunch. THANK YOU to Cafe Del SolGenesis Church and Spoon&Fork for feeding and supporting our volunteers!

Thanks to everyone who has already signed up! If you have any questions, please feel free to email us atinfo@reclaimingroots.org. It’s going to be a great event … rain or shine!

Thanks, {roots} crew
