Follow-Up on Project.7 — Miller-Orchard Community Garden

(registration is now closed)

We have a great opportunity to custom paper writing service help the Miller-Orchard neighborhood in Iowa City start a community garden. May 1st {reclaiming roots} will be taking a vacant lot full of trash, scrap, over-grown trees and underbrush and peel it back to help it flourish once again.

We believe a community garden is at the center of what it means to be a healthy community. Growing and sharing food, cultivating life as a community, these are practices that make a neighborhood thrive. So if you believe community is vital – you need to be there. If you believe you can restore beauty – you need to be there. If you want to be part of something larger than yourself –  you need to be there!

We’re not in this alone, however. We’ve received commitments for support on the gardening aspect of this event. We just need some good help to get this project off the ground!

If you can help out in any way, we would appreciate hearing from you. We’re looking to do the initial clean-up on May 1st. We realize this is short notice and we hope some of you can make it. Financial contributions would also be welcomed! Go over to the registration page and get signed up for this event!

We’re also looking for a large 500-1000 gallon water tank…… If you know of one we could get our hands on… let us know!

Thanks.
